Menus and choices

Whereas Guernsey’s traditional cuisine has a distinctly Anglo-French approach, restaurants and eateries based on Chinese, Indian, Italian and other international flavours will be taking part in Tennerfest and offering their own particular specialities. Take a look at this year’s participants and the Tennerfest menus they offer.

Menus are fixed from 3 courses for £10 per head to £12.50, £15, £17.50 and £20 options for anything from 2 to a 4 course menus. Over 200 restaurants took part last year, offering a vast range of mouthwatering dishes.

Guernsey specialities

Guernsey delicacies include a fantastic array of freshly caught local fish and seafood. However, some of the islands traditional dishes are also based on the fresh milk provided by the islands own Golden Guernsey cows with creamy sauces and cheeses a favourite. Guernsey’s orchards contribute to traditional Gâche mélée, a spicy apple based sweet cake whereas the islands greenhouses have usually been busy harbouring tomatoes, another island favourite.
