October means Tennerfest in the Channel Islands. The six week food festival is a great opportunity to try fantastic menus for special offer prices – starting from just a tenner! Enjoy the annual Guernsey Nerine, or Lily, festival and join in with some stargazing on Sark.

Guernsey Markets taking place regularly throughout the year:

Guernsey Markets for October:

  • 3, 17 & 31 October, 14th & 28th November & 12th December – Castel Parish Farmers Market opens at 9am every other Saturday throughout the year in Le Friquet Garden Centre, Castel.
  • 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31 October – The Farmers and Fisherman’s Market offers Fresh local produce including locally caught seafood. Open every Saturday from 9am. During the winter months the market operates from St Martin’s Parish Hall.
  • 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30 October – Fresh Fridays Produce Market in Market Square, St Peter Port, opens from 8.30am until 2.30pm every Friday. Guernsey local produce is for sale including fresh fish, meat, vegetables, chutney, pate, deli and cakes.
  • 7, 14, 21t & 28 October – St Peter’s Community Market offers a selection of plants, pies, homemade jams and fresh produce every Wednesday 10-11am in the Community Hut, behind St. Peter’s Post Office.
