What’s on in Guernsey

Guernsey is definitely warming up this spring with the long awaited Channel Islands Heritage Festival, including the 70th Liberation Day. Find out what’s on in Guernsey with our run down of festivals and events.

14 March

Guernsey Arts Commission Lantern Parade
Starting at Churchill Avenue and ending at Albert Pier, watch the lantern Parade in the evening.

28 March – 4 October

Celts and Romans: Treasure and Trade
Amazing artefacts on display including Roman ship timbers found in Guernsey and a silver coin hoard from Jersey. Guernsey Museum.

NTG Heritage Open Day at The Folk & Costume Museum

Western Wonders Cycle Tour
Cycle to L’Erée headland and explore the Neolithic burial chamber, Napoleonic fort and Table de Pions (Fairy Ring) at Les Pezeries. Guernsey Markets taking place regularly throughout the year:
  • Castel Parish Farmers Market opens at 9am every other Saturday throughout the year in Le Friquet Garden Centre, Castel.
  • The Farmers and Fisherman’s Market offers Fresh local produce including locally caught seafood. Open every Saturday from 9am, during the winter months the market operates from St Martin’s Parish Hall and moves to Sausmarez Manor from April.
  • Fresh Fridays Produce Market in Market Square, St Peter Port, opens from 8.30am until 2.30pm every Friday. Guernsey local produce is for sale including fresh fish, meat, vegetables, chutney, pate, deli and cakes.
  • St Peter’s Community Market offers a selection of plants, pies, homemade jams and fresh produce every Wednesday 10-11am in the Community Hut, behind St. Peter’s Post Office.
