August is the month when Guernsey folk enjoy celebrating their heritage with a round of regional shows highlighting local produce, customs and traditions. Take a look at our Guernsey events diary for August and come and enjoy the celebrations with regattas and carnivals galore. 

1 August

Fresh Friday’s Produce Market
Fresh produce including meat, vegetables, fish and a deli. 8:30am – 2:30pm in Market Square.

2 – 10 August

Alderney Week
Take a trip over to Alderney and follow the ‘Treasure Island’ theme for lots of good all round fun.

2 August

Rocquaine Regatta Visit Guernsey Image Library: Pictures Chris George - Coast Media
Using the beach, sea and stage for activities and entertainment, join in with the free events including entry to Fort Grey Maritime Museum.

2 August

Farmer’s and Fisherman’s Market

The North Show and Battle of Flowers
The last of the local summer shows at Saumarez Park followed by the fantastic Battle of Flowers and later moonlit parade, topped off by a late night fireworks display.
