Island Hopping In the Channel Isles

Great article in the Times today featuring Channel Island hopping. Guernsey is the perfect base to start island hopping as it has regular ferry services to the smaller Islands of Alderney, Herm and Sark. Island hopping offers the perfect opportunity to experience the smaller and much quieter Islands.

Alderney, the third largest island is just 1 and a half miles wide and three and a half miles long. With over 200 welcoming inhabitants, it manages to retain an authentic feel with varied history whilst still offering things to do to suit all ages.

Herm would be your next port of call when Island hopping. Herm offers picturesque and quaint beaches perfect for paddling, and if you fancy a different view of the island why not charter a boat and take in the spectacular landscape from a different vista.

Sark, the smallest island is a haven of tranquillity. With no cars on the island there is just the choice of bike, horse and carriage or foot to find your way around. The pace of life on Sark is laid back and relaxed- it is the perfect place to get away from it all. Beautiful flowers, butterflies and birds fill the countryside- the perfect haven for naturists.
